Mineral Exploration
We provide services across the exploration cycle: target generation, geophysical surveys, exploration drilling, logging, QA/QC, 3D modelling and the resource estimation on which investment decisions are based.
Stages of the exploration cycle
Mineral exploration and target generation
Identifying promising targets from the regional geology and the existing data.
Geophysical surveys
Magnetic, electrical and seismic surveys to map the subsurface before drilling.
Exploration drilling
Drilling programmes designed around the target, with full field management.
Logging, sampling and QA/QC
Core logging, sampling and QA/QC for dependable subsurface data.
Resource estimation and valuation
Petrographic description, resource estimation, technical audit and valuation to underpin investment decisions.
3D modelling
Geospatial data handling with 3D and 4D terrain modelling.
Mineralised belts in the Arabian Shield
The Nuqrah belt
Three licences over some 270 km² in a VMS-type belt, where two gossan targets were defined by airborne magnetics, structural mapping and stream-sediment sampling.
The Sukhaybrah–As Safra belt
Eight licences over some 707 km² in an orogenic gold belt, with three priority exploration targets defined.
The Nabitah belt
A principal exploration target with significant mineralisation potential, advanced under a work programme approved by the Ministry of Industry and Mineral Resources.
The licence framework
The licences are held and operated through the Terra Noor joint venture, with the geological and geophysical work delivered by Asbar.
