Environmental Impact Assessment
An environmental impact assessment is required before a project can obtain its construction permit. We prepare assessments under Class A accreditation, the highest class for environmental studies, covering project classification into category 1, 2 or 3 through to an environmental management plan that can be implemented and reviewed.
Environmental impact assessment stages
Screening and classification
Establishing the project's environmental category — 1, 2 or 3 — by the level of its impact and the nature of its activity.
Baseline studies
Characterising the site's environmental condition before the project: air, water, soil, noise and biodiversity.
Impact prediction and evaluation
Analysing the expected effects on each environmental medium through construction and operation.
Mitigation measures
Setting the measures that reduce impacts to levels acceptable under the regulations, and assigning responsibility for each.
Environmental management plan
An operational plan of measures, monitoring and responsibilities across the project life cycle.
Dossier preparation and submission
Producing the study in the required form and following it through to the construction permit.
Applicable sectors
